Thunder Just Came Over

Extinct but alive.
Some spirits wondering around,
But yet we stand before them.
Questions passed and answers question.
How have we not thus justify the need?

In our time, feasting was,
But upon thickness and not thighs.
Greatness foreseen, but without assurance.
We had dreams, but we were dreaming.
Scratches us not, for we are like diamond.

Times have passed, the Sun shines upon us.
Like in history, remembrances stick together,
Holding what was and what is,
Honoured beyond understanding,
Overwhelmed passing knowledge,
Delighted like smiles which no other can fathom.
